May 25, 2014. Flooded Illinois River meanders through Colorado’s North park. This is a view from my favorite view point on highway 14 just a few miles east of Walden. In addition to a great scenic you will find there a lot of historic information about the region from native Americans to fur trappers, coal mining and lumber industry.

The above picture were shot when I was returning from a paddling trip on North Platte River from Walden to Northgate Canyon. I stop at this spot almost every time when driving near Walden.
